“MDDT is how we start and end our competition season annually. We have a dance team that does all styles but we also have a HUGE All Male hip hop team. Since Miss Dance Drill Team is actually where the All Male division first originated back in 1991, it's our tradition to compete here every year no matter what! We also LOVE competing in the Show Production category, especially when Japan high schools come to compete... They're a sight to behold and you won't see them at any other dance comp except MDDT!”

“Miss Dance is where ALL our dance competition history began! All other events nationwide have stemmed from this competition's example. I have brought my team for 30 years because it's an environment that nurtures & creates bonding between teams. And the experience is very unique to any other dance competition experience!”

"Miss Dance Team USA has been a tradition for Pioneer for over 40 years. Teamwork, pride, and commitment are the core values that the great Dr. Kay Crawford instilled in all who participated... Values that I now teach my students and teams (Kay Crawford invented the dance/drill team industry, and MDDT was her gift to the world). We owe it to our students to share this legacy with them."

Dance Solos Shine at MDDT Nationals

Known in the dance team world as the most prestigious national competition for dance solos, our trademarked solo title championship showcases the best dancers in the United States. Dancers in this category are evaluated in three areas: dance routine, technique spotlight, and an interview question from the judges. This patented competition format considers the dancer's ability to learn/perform advanced-level choreography, while emphasizing their position as a team role model and ambassador for the dance team industry. The TOP 5 earn scholarship awards & bids to represent TEAM USA at Dance Team World Championships in Tokyo, Japan!
